F. D. Deskins Company, Inc. founder and president, F David Deskins entered the wastewater treatment industry in 1980. Upon founding the company, Dave discovered that the present processes were expensive, inflexible, and labor intensive.
The creation of Deskins "Quick-Dry" Filtration Process originated from necessity. The need for a process for liquid-solid separation that worked well for the budget and the operator.
Extensive background in polymer technology led to the creation of a special polymer activation system and flocculation chamber. Upon great amounts of research, the filter was created to allow natural filtration and drying accentuated by filter substratum stabilization giving the filter extremely long life. Filtration occurs rapidly due to accurate polymer treatment and substratum media sizing. Drying occurs due to gravitational and natural vacuum coupled with convection heat and airflow through the top media. In order to maintain filter integrity, the AquaTrac Line was created. AquaTrac machines serve two main purposes: remove biosolid from the top of the filter without removing the filter media and maintain substratum integrity while preparing the filter for the next influent pour.
